I have decided that cleaning strikes backfire. All they do is make more work for Mom on Monday morning, when she just can't handle it any longer.
I didn't actually strike this weekend. I was just lazy and it looked like I had. But if I HAD gone on strike, it would have backfired. So now I won't.

I know exactly how you feel. We just started a new cleaning "program" with the kids. Any toys left lying around go into "time out" for 48 hours. As of right now, the basement looks like we just moved in and the kids are bored. But, it's clean!
