My mom and dad have finished their 2-year mission in San Diego, and were able to stop here to see us "on their way" home to Utah. It was so much fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Stastny here for a little while! They have only seen the twins a couple of times, so I was thrilled that Tess and Case ran right to them and knew who they were (Case calls them Grandma and Gramp Gramp). They were such good sports about letting the kids climb all over them, listening to their stories (and then, and then, and then), letting them play the bubble game and putting up with the noise level.
We took the older kids to see Prince Caspian on Saturday and since the theatre was pretty full when we got there, Grandpa "got" to sit with the kids and the bucket of popcorn. He said he's never seen anyone put away popcorn the way Fisher did. That's rich coming from him. My whole family knows how much Grandpa Stastny loves the popcorn!!
Poor Grandma was melting. Sunday was the hottest day of 2008 so far. 105 degrees. And as we were leaving for church the power went out, which means no a/c. I was really worried that it was going to be out for a while, but thankfully it was on and the house was nice and cool when we came home from church. Today it's 110 degrees. WHAT? It's May.
Anyway, Mom and Dad, we loved having you here and we miss you already!
